About Us

Felix Botanica Pty Ltd has been in operation within the Broad Acre Landscape and Bushland Management industry since 2001; with senior personnel in the industry since 1993. Combined industry experience of over 80 years enables our staff to achieve optimal results at efficient speeds. Our Staff are formally trained in the current best practice methodologies applied in the environmental restoration field and have provided both in field services and written recommendations and or assessments of vegetation management techniques for a variety of clients.

The successful delivery of numerous site remediation and revegetation works as well development and delivery of Net Gain Assessments in consideration of development proposals and bushland management plans, has led to the development of a diverse and robust business.

Client base for the business encompasses State (VicRoads/Linking Melbourne Authority, Parks Victoria, DEPI, Melbourne Water, Zoos Victoria) and Local Government (Yarra, Casey, Kingston, Dandenong, Baw Baw, Cardinia, Knox, Frankston, NIllumbik, Yarra Ranges Councils) Agencies as well as private industry (Australand Holdings, Cartegena Developments, Cincotta Constructions) and individuals.

David Chynoweth

David Chynoweth

David is the founder and managing director of Felix Botanica. He established the company in 2001 after observing a significant opportunity to increase efficiency, quality outcomes and career security within the industry. David manages administrative responsibilities within the organisation, provides consultancy services in ecological and civil fields, as well as executing a range of on groundworks.

Michael Lenten

With extensive on-ground experience, Michael executes advanced chemical and mechanical invasive species control techniques throughout the contracts that he manages. Michael is the key machinery operator within the organisation, with operations including large scale mulching, forestry grooming, flail mowing and earthworks. He currently manages our contracts for Parks Victoria and Knox City Council, across a range of remnant and revegetation sites

Joshua McCaig

Joshua McCaig

Josh delivers a variety of technical operations within the City of Yarra contract that he manages. These include direct seeding, invasive species control, revegetation, surveying threatened species, generation of short and long term site-specific plans and advanced auditing methods to ensure contract objectives are measured, met and surpassed.

Michael Sommer

Michael Sommer

Mike manages our Frankston City Council contracts. This includes the implementation of a range of techniques to ensure the high-quality remnant sites are maintained and enhanced. Mike also provides consultancy services including GIS, strategic management plans, Vegetation Quality Assessments and training days on advanced methods within the industry.

George Collins

George Collins

George coordinates our contracts for Zoo’s Victoria across Healesville Sanctuary and Werribee Open Range Zoo. This includes removal of overabundant species, revegetation, post-fire weed control and fencing works. George also provides consultancy services including municipality wide management plans, GIS, significant species relocation plans and educational presentations.

Glenn Doe

Glenn Brownfield

Glenn manages stand alone projects within the organisation. These include Melbourne Water grants, state government projects, services for private clients and developers. Underpinned by a versatile skill set and high-level organisation, Glenn manages these operations over a wide geographical region through a variety of implemented methods.
